More Sunny Days! Top Ten Books On My Summer To Read List

This week the topic from The Broke and The Bookish should be very easy.  I'm really looking forward to all the books on my Summer To Read List.  Some of these books relate to my Beach Reads, but they're not all "beachy", but they are definitely books I've had on hold too long and this summer seems like a great time to read them.  I've sorted them by author because I think I feel like binge reading....

By Cassandra Clare:

By Sophie Kinsella

By Margaret Atwood
8. Oryx and Crake (re-read in preparation for Maddaddam)

By H.G. Wells

Maybes:  H.G. Wells - Under The Knife
Lauren Oliver, Delerium, PandemoniumRequiem
I may also start reading the Anne [of Green Gables] books.
So, what I've come to learn by making this list is that there are a lot of books I want to read this summer and I'm not 100% sure which ones to prioritize.  Maybe I'll just catch up on the Undead Series.

Well, I think I might have failed this week's list...

What's on your summer to-read list?

    1. It's a novella that is included in a Golden Age of Science Fiction collection.
The Time Machine will be a re-read... but it's been over ten years since I read it.

You've got some good books on your list. I'm behind with Cassandra Clare's books. I need to add them to my summer reading list, I guess!

  6. Nice list! I read all Clare's books so far but I liked TMI more than I did TID, Clockwork Princess was a disappointment.
    Happy reading!

I really want to get around to The Infernal Devices trilogy soon as well. I've heard a lot of people think it's even better than The Mortal Instruments and since I really liked City of Bones, I have high hopes for pretty much all of Cassandra Clare's books.

  8. Great top ten! I maybe should have put Cassandra Clare on my list as I've still only read the first 2 TMI books, somehow don't thinkI'll fit in any more before the movie comes out!

    1. I haven't read a Kinsella book I didn't like, so I'm confident about the two I plan on reading this summer.

  12. I need to re-read Oryx & Crake before MaddAddam comes out too - but also the 2nd book, The Year of the Flood. (You've read that one, right?). Gosh, I've meaning to read the Anne of Green Gables series for year -- I consider that a big hole in my childhood reading! Nice list!

    1. I read Year of the Flood shortly after the paperback came out and I really enjoyed it. I read Oryx and Crake probably 7 or 8 years ago. After reading Year of the Flood, I knew I would have to re-read Oryx and Crake before the third book came out.

I read the first three Anne books as a kid, but never finished the series. It's something I've been wanting to do for a while.

Cassandra Clare's series are on my TBR at some stage list. Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale is on my TTT list this week so when that's read I hope to check out some more of her books.
